Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream has been impacted by his global popularity. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's streaming smash single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is from an instrumental background. Both his parents and brother are musicians. In interviews he has described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. He began playing guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant.
